    Candidates who wish to apply at the HPC-LEAP European Joint Doctoral Program need to complete the online application form.

    Before going through the application procedure, please read carefully the admission requirements.

    Upon finalizing, applicants will receive a confirmation email including a summary of their application and the application's unique identification code.

    Once finalized the form cannot be edited. In case a mistake is made please resubmit the application indicating the unique identification code of the previous application.

    Please note that changing the list of referees is not possible through the resubmission. In such a case please contact graduate.office@hpc-leap.eu indicating the required changes and including the application's unique identification code.

The transcript(s) should include a detailed list of the courses/seminars taken, along with the grades received in each and a GPA. If an applicant has not completed a Master's degree yet, a transcript that lists coursework and grades thus far, and expected date of completion of the Master's degree, should be provided.

  1. Step 3 – Curriculum Vitae and Statement of Research Interests

    Curriculum Vitae

    We encourage applicants to use the HPC-LEAP Curriculum Vitae (CV) template, although any other template is acceptable; please make sure to include your honors, prizes, or major publications. Also include your educational activities and accomplishments in the proposed field of study. Finally make sure you include your teaching or professional experience including summer and part-time work in the proposed field of study; provide name of employer, dates and nature of work.

  3. Statement of research interests

    A description of the fellow’s research interests in relation to the topics of the HPC-LEAP program. It should include educational and research experiences that motivate the applicant to select the proposed research area. It should concisely mention examples of the applicant’s work that show academic maturity and potential to meet the expectations of the intense graduate program of study. The statement should not exceed three pages and must be written in English.

  1. Step 4 - English Language Certificate

    The language of the network will be English and good language skills are expected to ensure that students and supervisors can communicate. If the applicant's first language is not English then an English language certificate or equivalent is required. If the last degree was finished in an English-speaking country or at an institution where the instruction language was English, there is no need to submit an English certificate.
